Nozzle angle is the safety control. A 40 degree tip lands the same litres across a fan nearly three times wider than a 15 degree tip, so each square centimetre of clear coat takes far less force. What do a short gun, a swivel and quick connects add?
Control at arm's length. A short gun (the stubby gun) puts the nozzle close to your hand, so the fan goes where you point it around wheel arches, mirrors and sills rather than where a long lance drifts. A shorter lever also takes less out of the wrist over a full wash. How much hose does car detailing need?
